Alabama Roots Fest is a free concert brought to Tuscaloosa by two local businesses, Local Roots and Frutta Bowls.  The event will be held in beautiful Government Plaza on April 28.  Roots Fest is a family friendly event, starting at 4 pm and keeping the entertainment coming till 10 pm. The 2018 lineup features musical artists Adam Hood, Will Hoge and Robert Randolph and The Family Band.  The concert is a free event, but wristbands will be available which will provide access to food from Frutta Bowls and Local Roots at Roots Fest.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band is an American funk and soul band led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph. Randolph has toured with such artists as North Mississippi All Stars, Eric Clapton, and Dave Matthews.  The Family Band is famous for its high energy shows...and Randolph has been known to leave the stage and dance with the crowd!

Will Hoge is an American American Country musicsinger, songwriter, and musician from Nashville Tennessee, United States.  Hoge has toured with artists such as Needtobreathe, Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, and Shinedown.  Hoge received a Grammy nomination for "Even If It Breaks Your Heart", which was recorded by the Eli Young Band.

Adam Hood is a singer-songwriter from Opelika, Alabama. His music is in the style of Texas country, Americana, and roots rock.  Hood was listed by Rolling Stones Magazine as one of the Top 10 artists listeners should know.  He has toured with Pat Green, Todd Snider and Miranda Lambert.
